I think that this has been a good year for me in my maths, I have improved a lot more than in any other year. Not only have I improved in the maths I know like basic facts, I have also learnt knew things like tessellation rotation and many more.
Sometimes I get hard worksheets that I'm not to sure about but its always helpful because you can just ask the teacher which will give me a better understanding about what we are doing. I also think that IXL has helped me a lot. Sometimes on a test I see that there is something that I didn't do very well on so I go on to IXL which helps me to understand it better and improve in it!
This year what I have found challenging was adding, subtracting and multiplying fractions. It was very hard for me at the start but eventually I got better and understood it more.
My biggest achievement in maths this year was getting 100% on 2 test which was my fractions, decimal and percentage, and my statistics I was very proud of myself!

iDrive reflection
Today for iDrive I was in a group with Tawa, Hamish, Nesta and Mason we decided to do creative playground. We made a ramp at first, we made a ramp for the cable reel to go down then we would stand on it and it would roll into the mussel buoys with someone on it.
It failed a couple of times and some people got ran over and injured. But we showed resilience and made it better so there wouldn't be any injuries (accept when a couple people didn't use it properly and went face first into the buoys.)
Then we destroyed the ramp and decided to make a hut. We put the wood all together and lent it on the cable reel to hold it up we made an awesome entrance in the front, but unluckily you can't see it in the time lapse. And the last step was to cover the whole thing with sheets as a shelter. This was my iDrive and I really enjoyed it!!

Princess Diana
Diana was the princess of Wales. She was born on the 1st of June 1961, and was the first wife of Prince Charles of Wales.
She was called the peoples princess because she liked to be treated like a normal person. She even asked people to not call her princess so often. She helped in so many causes like charities and gave more than $1000 to each of them. She gave people awareness to many problems happening in the world.
Princess Diana shook hands with the Aid’s patience when everyone said you can get Aid’s from doing it.She sold her dresses for money and gave them to a charity. She didn't get mad at someone for calling her names, and she never disrespected anyone.
But something very sad happened on 31 August 1997, she died. She got in to a car crash. Henri Paul was driving who was the head of security. He was drunk and trying to get away from the Paparazzi so he was speeding and lost control then smashed into the side. There was only 1 survivor who was the bodyguard his name was Trevor Rees-Jones.

iDrive
Today for iDrive I did Lego with Logan, Hamish, Callum L, Tawa and Finn. Today we built a farm, we made tractors, fences, planes and more. I made the tractor. It was very hard without instructions but we had to think heaps about if the piece would look good and improve it.
We had to work collaboratively, for example two people needed the same piece and we had to work out who needed it more. There were also pieces that at the start we thought would look good but they wouldn't fit so we had to find a new way to make it fit and make it look better. Altogether it was a fun experience and I liked trying something different.

I drive
This week on idrive Hamish, Callum and I did our carpentry project. We are doing a house and it is looking very good so far.
This project has been very fun and our group have been working very well together. We have had to do a lot of problem solving because last time our house basicly broke and we had to restart most of it this week but it is still looking really cool! We are being very creative with it and trying new bits and pieces to see if it will make it look any cooler and it is working so far. We are nearly finished and we just need to do the inside and paint it, We are putting wall paper and furniture inside and not putting on a back so you can see the inside. We our confident that it is going to look very cool in the end and we can't wait to show our finished product!

Last terms art
Last term for art we did tapa art it comes from the Cook islands and is used to decorate lots of different things. This is how we made are tapa artwork.
- First I had to do some research of what tapa artwork is so I had an idea in my head.
- Then we drew on a piece of paper our idea that we our going to do on our lino cut.
- After that I copied the drawing from the piece of paper to the piece of lino and coloured in the parts that I wanted to cut out and left the parts I wanted to stay.
- When I was done that I started cutting the parts I wanted out of the piece of lino.
- Then I Rolled paint on top of the lino and then pushed it down and rolled it on a piece of paper , my first colour I chose was blue.
- After that I cut out the pieces out that I wanted to stay blue and left the parts I wanted to do my other colour with.
- When I finished that I was ready for my last print and I decided to use red I did the same process as I did last time and put it over my blue print now it looks really cool this picture is my art finished!
