Book review

Gangster Granny by David Walliams One day Ben had to go to his granny's house for the weekend he didn't like his granny she always made him cabbage soup. It was so quiet at her house and she loved to play scrabble. That night Ben had enough of it and called his mum to ask if he could go home, but he didn't know that his granny was listening behind the door. The next day Ben asked for a cookie his granny told him to go check the jar on the pantry, Ben went and checked but what he saw blew his mind. A load of sparkling jewels. He followed his granny and saw that she was trying to rob a jewellery store. He asked his granny what they were and she told him the stories of all of them and how she was a jewellery thief. Ben comes up with an idea to rob the crown of jewels. And he finds out how to get in the queens castle. Him and his granny are just about to rob it but then the queen catches him. Ben's granny and the queen have a lot in common and become great friends. Ben's granny tells him that all the jewels were fake and and she wasn't actually a jewel thief then she gets cancer and dies. On the news was his granny's jewels and it said they were actually real and worth millions! What I thought about the book: I Was was really surprised when I found out the jewels were real and the stories she said she made up might have actually been true. Rating: 5 Star
